More info about KinderCamp
KinderCamp classes will begin the first day of school, August 20, 2009. Classes will be held every weekday until Kindergartners begin school. There will be two sessions. Session 1 will be from 9-10:30 am, and session 2 will be from 1:30-3:00 pm. I would suggest signing your child up for the morning session if he or she will be going to morning Kindergarten, and the afternoon session if he or she will be going to afternoon Kindergarten. The cost is $45 for the entire camp. You can reserve a spot for your child by calling me at 531-0472. Space is limited, and there will be a waiting list if necessary, so call today!
The KinderCamp idea
My sister and I have children who will attend Kindergarten this coming fall. We've experienced the difficulty that comes with Kindergartners starting school later than everyone else and wondered what to do about it. Then it came to us-- why not have fun classes just for Kindergartners those first few weeks of school? That way they can have somewhere to go, as well as get ready to learn while having lots of fun! Since I have a degree in Elementary Education as well as experience working with Kindergartners, I decided to start KinderCamp. I have also done the quarterly one-on-one assessments for all of the Kindergartners at Iron Springs Elementary for the past few years, so I'm very, very familiar with exactly what Kindergartners in our district learn throughout the year. At KinderCamp we will have fun, literature-based activities that will get your child ready to learn. Come and join the fun at KinderCamp!!
